Fellowship of Baptist Historians

Dallas Baptist University
Fellowship President Stephen Stookey presided over the meeting. After a time for questions and discussion, Dallas Baptist University provided a sumptuous meal for Fellowship members.
After the evening meal, President Stookey called the business meeting to order.
Following prayer, the Minutes of the 2010 meeting were read and accepted.
Afterwards, new nominees were presented for membership:
- Blake Killingsworth (Dallas Baptist University)
- Tommy Sanders (Dallas Baptist University)
- Lisa Seely (Dallas Baptist University)
- Michael Whiting (Dallas Baptist University)
- Jeffrey Waldrop (Fuller University)
- Kelly Pigott (Logsdon Seminary)
- Bill Jones (Texas Baptists Committed)
- Andrew Smith (Carson Newman College)
- Melody Maxwell (Samford University)
All were accepted as members.
The election of officers took place next. The following officers were elected:
Lydia Hoyle (Campbell University) – President
Pamela Smoot (Southern Illinois University) – Vice-President
Stephen Stookey (Dallas Baptist University) – Secretary
A Resolution of Appreciation to Dallas Baptist University for hosting the Fellowship meeti was approved by vote:
Whereas, Dallas Baptist University (Gary Cook, President) has graciously hosted the 2011 annual meeting of the Fellowship of Baptist Historians and of the Baptist History & Heritage Society.
And Whereas, Dallas Baptist University has provided splendid facilities for the 2011 annual meetings of the Fellowship of Baptist Historians and the Baptist History and Heritage Society.
Be It Therefore Resolved, that the Fellowship of Baptist Historians hereby expresses its sincere gratitude to Dallas Baptist University for its gracious support for the Fellowship of Baptist Historians and the Baptist History and Heritage Society.
Meeting adjourned with prayer.
